To stay at a bed and breakfast should be an all encompassing experience. We feel that not only are we here to provide you with a pleasurable and comfortable stay (as well as a full tum) when you visit Keswick but also a safe one.We take our job, and your comfort and welfare, very seriously.

To that end:

o We are one of only a few properties who have undertaken a full and comprehensive Fire Safety Risk Assessment. It conforms to BS PAS79 and was undertaken independently by APL Fire Safety.

o We test the Fire Alarm system 4 times a month.

o We discharge and recharge the emergency lighting on a monthly basis.

0 We have all the Fire Extinguishers checked annually (as per BS PAS79). We are one of only 15 properties in Keswick inspected by Chubb on a yearly basis. The latest check was August 2011.

o We have both attended a food hygiene and preparation course.

o Our kitchen is kept clean, stock is rotated and we wash our hands before cooking your breakfast.

o We have recently upgraded all the guest rooms with work that is not only to a very high quality but that also conforms to Building Regs.

o All rooms are fitted with 30 minute fire doors, door closers and intumescent strips.

o There is also smoke and heat detection throughout the house.

o We regularly check the appliances that are in the guest rooms.

o We use mattress protectors and pillow protectors as standard.

o We are a non smoking establishment.

o We have full Public Liability Insurance that is appropriate for a B&B.

o We use different cloths for washing the sink and the loo.
